CBD oil Cocktail Bar Opening In Glasgow soon – TheCannabisRadar

Cannabis oil cocktail bar opening in Glasgow soon

A new cocktail bar is soon opening in Glasgow, but it’s unlike anything you have seen before. Glaswegians were quite disheartened at the loss of Panther Milk, the city’s ‘hidden bar’, which shut its doors in September. People could brag about and show off to their friends that they knew the coolest place in the town aka the Panther Milk.

Now the unit, on Mitchell Lane, accessible via restaurant and bar Tabac, will be given a new life in the form of a CBD cocktail bar. Marco Lazzurri, the man behind Tabac, said they have been working on the cocktails for a while now, experimenting with CBD oil drops to infuse the drinks with and sugar gommes.

Lazzurri further explained that they have decided to revamp the old Panther Milk venue with a new layout, with a unique style of a grow room, and a bright neon sign of a hemp leaf placed at the same place as the old Panther Milk sign.

The opening gate for the bar hasn’t been announced yet, but all we know is that you could be sipping some CBD infused cocktails soon!

CBD is known for its non-psychoactive nature and anti-inflammatory properties that help in alleviating the symptoms of several diseases. People use CBD for reducing stress, anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, seizures in epilepsy and even Alzheimer’s. It is also used to help with back pain, acute aches, chronic pain, muscle injury, swelling, inflammation, and Cancer. Research suggests that CBD is a potent drug and has the capability to reduce the pain experienced by patients after they undergo chemotherapy for treating cancer.

While there are some eminent studies that back up the medicinal claims of CBD, enforcement bodies and agencies such as the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence are still dubious about the effectiveness of CBD based products.

Recently, the drug advisory body, NICE approved two cannabis-based medicines– Epidyolex and Sativex. Both of these medicines will be grown and developed in the UK. Epidyolex contains cannabidiol or CBD, which could reduce seizures by up to 40% in some cases. It would help children suffering from two rare and severe forms of epilepsy- Dravet syndrome and Lennox Gastaut syndrome.

Epidyolex will not contain THC, the psychoactive substance found in cannabis plants which is responsible for causing a ‘high’ in users and produce a euphoria-like feeling.

On the other hand, Sativex is a mouth spray that consists of a mixture of THC and CBD. It has been approved by NHS to help with muscle stiffness, and spasms, also known as spasticity, in multiple sclerosis. Despite being an approved drug, doctors will not be allowed to prescribe Sativex for treating pain.

Although charities have welcomed the new guidelines, they said that it isn’t enough to help the people that are suffering from severe diseases. Campaigners who have been struggling to get access to cannabis-based medicines argue that these guidelines do not go far enough.

CBD has become a controversial topic with people touting for its health benefits and enforcement bodies trying to introduce cannabis-based medication whilst maintaining consumer safety. Consumer awareness and education about CBD is a must for anyone planning to buy CBD or its products.

Consumers can easily buy CBD based topicals, oils, creams, lotion, gummies, isolate, vape pens, etc. But they have to ensure that the products are clinically tested, approved by third-party labs and contain the legal limit of THC.

As for the unusual and distinct opening of the new cocktail bar, it will be the second addition to the city center bar Tabac in recent weeks, with an extension next door offering a new wine bar as well. This wine bar will specialize in vegan, bio-dynamic and organic drinks by the glass, so you don’t need to worry about shelling money for an expensive bottle every time you want to try something new. It will open on December 6.

A neon hemp leaf sign and drinks infused with CBD is all that’s going to catch your attention, so get ready for its launch.
